1. Transit Talk Program
THE Bus takes the mystery out of transit traveling. Give THE Bus a call, and a representative will be happy to provide a professional speaker to address your group about the benefits of public transportation. We’ll show you how to save money, reduce stress, and even help the environment. For more information call THE Bus at (352) 754-4444. To help assure availability for your group, call to arrange a speaker as soon as you know the date of your presentation.

2. Events
Participation in local community events is a useful tool in reaching Hernando County residents and visitors. Community events build awareness and community involvement, provides another avenue for distribution of printed information materials, and provides the ability to assist potential patrons.

THE Bus is always looking for opportunities to reach out to the public. If you are planning an event and would like a bus representative present to provide information and answer questions regarding public transportation within Hernando County, please contact public outreach at (352) 754-4444.

3. Media Inquires
THE Bus wants to respond quickly to news media inquires. Most importantly, we want to ensure that the information we provide is accurate. All media inquires to any employee about agency business, programs and services must be referred to the Marketing Department. If you are a reporter or news media representative and need to contact THE Bus spokesperson, please call Mary Stahl at (352)754-4444.

a. Interviews
All requests for interviews with
THE Bus are to be coordinated through the Marketing Department where a representative will be available to answer your questions and assist in scheduling an interview.

b. While on
THE Bus property:
§ If you wish to film, photograph, or interview customers on
THE Bus property please address your request through the Marketing Department, (352)754-4444.
§ When filming (live or taped), taking a still photograph, or conducting interviews while on
THE Bus property, please allow our riders to enter/leave the buses or the surrounding areas without obstruction. Please do not block or restrict the movement of THE Bus customers.
